This is our first review on our blog of the same show, and wish I had something very different than my father but for the most part I agree with him. Richards review

Here are my additional comments: I almost rated this mini-series a 2 because it was lazy writing. Really they have to fall in love at the end. How many times have we seen the road trip movie and the person turns around after separating.

Why isn’t their a gift shop or some sort of convenience store with clothes. That part confused me, it was as though they were trying to force the relationship.

He is wuss at the beginning and is still pushed around by women, it is just Olivia now instead of Jess. I would have liked to see a bit more development, like ditching her sorry ass and finding someone better than her or Jess.

I liked the premise of a road trip and just the dialogue, the dialogue lacked a little snappiness.

On a more personal note, I have driven on the roads around Loch Lomond and don’t think they quite captured how narrow and terrifying the roads are. But Scotland is truly a picturesque country.
