The Little Things – Little Value

Rating (1.5 out of 5)

Summary: Boring, stupid, pointless, forced. Joe (Denzel Washington) is a former detective who returns to Los Angeles to collect some evidence. He eventually teams up with his replacement Jim (Rami Malek) on finishing a case Joe investigated years ago.

There is no point in beating around the bush; the script is awful. The lines are terrible, and the plot development is sophomoric. An attempt is made at a “Seven” moment, but the build-up is sloppy.

Denzel and Rami deliver good performances. However, I am tired of Denzel’s old tired man routine. It sets up a bit of predictability for his character.

I wish there was more to say. Spend your time on something else.
